| Area Manager/Executive Director--Kotzebue |
Seeking an experienced management professional to manage local Boys & Girls Club sites and assist in the opening of new clubs and their sustainability in Northwest Alaska region. Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising Clubhouse Managers and support staff; overseeing operations in clubs; interfacing with Anchorage office, local advisory board and community partners; and assisting clubs in set-up, purchasing, program planning, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Candidate must have proven success supervising multiple sites and supervising from a distance. Requires B.A. degree in business, public administration or related field, or equivalent experience that provides the required knowledge and skills. Strong leadership skills required; rural and tribal outreach and youth development experience desired. Must be able to travel, including some overnight stays in rural Alaskan communities. | Field Maintenance Specialist |
This position takes a lead role in the maintenance of athletic fields used by the Boys & Girls Clubs located at the Woodland Park Clubhouse and Waldron Pond. This position is a supporting position for the maintenance department and assists other maintenance projects as needed. Supervision of volunteers is required. Must have ability to operate all machinery/vehicles related to mowing, lining irrigation proficiently. Ability to perform assigned tasks with little supervision and meet deadlines in safe and positive manner. Customer service excellence, professional manner and clean appearance needed. Requires a valid Alaska driver’s license, vehicle insurance and good drivers record. This is a full-time temporary summer only position, $10/hr with benefits. |

This position coordinates teen activities and services for youth in the Nome community and works directly with youth in the Nome Youth Facility. This position provides case management services to young offenders to help them successfully transition from the Nome Youth Facility, back in to their community. Services will focus on life-skills development, employment, community service, substance abuse prevention, and positive social recreation.
