Registration Information

Please review eligibility and registration charts. Payment in full is expected at the time of registration. Scholarships and payment plans are available for those who qualify.

Please Note:
All payment plans and scholarships must be applied for in person at the Athletics Department. All scholarships require 30 days income verification. Your child will not be placed on a team until a payment plan has been approved or full payment has been received. For more information please contact the Athletics Department.
All payments made towards Athletic Programs are non-refundable unless you fall within one (1) of the two (2) categories listed below:

Placement:
If Boys & Girls Clubs is unable to place your child on a team a full refund of fees will be processed to the person(s) who made the original payment. We do our very best to accommodate requests for specific placement of participants. If we are unable to accommodate the specific request, but we are able to place the participant on a team, you will not be eligible for a refund.

Medical:
If a medical condition occurs preventing your child from participating or completing the sport/program a written letter from the doctor/medical institution must be provided to validate the refund request. The refund will be prorated based on the time your child participated in the program.

Season

Season begins in mid-October and ends in mid-march. For more information, please consult division practice schedules.

Equipment

It is the sole responsibility of a player’s parent/guardian to ensure the player is furnished with and wears all required equipment to all games, scrimmages and practices.

If a coach notices any of the required gear missing, the player will be excused from participating until they are properly suited. This is for the safety of the player.
The following equipment is required:

All equipment is required unless otherwise noted:
• Helmet with face mask (must be HECC certified)
• Mouth Guard
• Shoulder Pads
• Elbow Pads
• Shin Pads with straps
• Hockey Pants with belt or suspenders
• Hockey Gloves
• Hockey Skates
• Hockey stick with tapes
• Supporter with cup or pelvic protector
 
Suggested equipment:
• Neck Guard
• Garter Belt for Hockey socks

Goalie equipment is available for rent through Boys & Girls Clubs. Equipment must be returned to Boys & Girls Clubs at the conclusion of the hockey season. If you fail to return loaned equipment, you will be billed for equipment cost.

Sponsorship

Each team is responsible for a team sponsorship or team fee. Team sponsors ensure that registration fees remain affordable. Each team sponsor will be printed on the front of their team’s jersey, receive a team plaque with photo, recognition in Boys & Girls Clubs Annual Report, and recognition on Boys & Girls Clubs Athletics web page. Coaches and Referees

If you are interested in coaching or refereeing, contact the Athletics Department at (907) 249-5445. Coaches must be 18 years old or older and referees must be 16 years old or older.
