School Age Child Care

School-Age Child Care is a licensed before and after school program that serves youth ages give to 12 years. Our program offers a variety of activities that reflect the developmental needs of the children we serve. We develop self-confidence, self-expression, positive social interaction and self-reliance through our learning center based curriculum in seven key areas:

  • Artistic Expression
  • Music & Movement
  • Dramatic Play
  • Outside Play
  • Literacy
  • Science & Technology
  • Manipulatives (Construction Play)

Our goal is to provide quality childcare in a safe and inviting environment. We strive to develop self-esteem, trust and honesty, teamwork, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, competitiveness and initiative. Group sizes are limited to 20 children per room.

Hours of Operation

We are open 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday. In addition to before and after school care, School-Age Child Care provides all-day care on select in-service days, half days and holidays observed by the Anchorage School District. Our program calendar is based on the annual Anchorage School District school year calendar.

Staff

Our staff members are trained to support, guide, and encourage children to play and act responsibly. We use positive behavior guidance techniques to protect the safety and welfare of our children as we promote their social development.
