Endowment

Dreams sometimes need a little help...especially if you are only ten and your mom is too busy trying to make ends meet to help you figure out how to get there. That is where Boys & Girls Clubs help. We provide a place to play and learn new things. Concerned and supportive adult role models are here each day and are dedicated to helping our members formulate goals and develop the skills to make their dreams come true.

You can help continue Boys & Girls Clubs legacy of dream fulfillment by taking advantage of our many planned giving opportunities and becoming personally involved with Alaska’s children. An investment in a child’s future benefits everyone.

Through Boys & Girls Clubs Endowment, gifts that are made to the Heritage and Legacy Clubs are invested in the principal account. Only the earnings will be spent; the corpus is never touched. The many different levels of giving provide the opportunity to find a gift method that meets your needs.

Examples of investments and planned giving:

A will should be the cornerstone of your total estate plan. It gives form and substance to your desires and concern for the future of your family, worthwhile organizations and other beneficiaries.

A trust, created during life or in your will, may figure prominently in your estate plan. It can also benefit your family and Boys & Girls Clubs’ future with meaningful tax and financial rewards.

A codicil made to an existing life insurance policy can provide a substantial gift to the charity of your choice. A change of beneficiary form is often the only paperwork necessary to designate an organization such as Boys & Girls Clubs.

A personal affairs’ record that provides detailed information about finances and specifies locations of wills, insurance policies and trust documents will prevent confusion and save time for family members.

Choosing your executor (personal representative at death) is an important step that can enable a trusted person to step in and administer your estate.
