Volunteer
Boys & Girls Clubs rely on volunteers to ensure the success of all our programs. Annually, local volunteers donate over 100,000 hours, the equivalent to 51 full-time staff positions. Nationwide, Boys & Girls Clubs benefit from over 170,000 volunteers, 3.5 times the number of employees.
There are many different areas where you can volunteer at the Club. Boys & Girls Clubs will assist you in matching your skills to the area where you can provide the best support for our members. Service groups and businesses are also encouraged to participate in Club activities and events throughout Alaska. The only limitation to your involvement is your imagination. Areas where you can serve include:
- Clubhouses
- Special Events & Fundraising
- Administrative
- Building & Equipment Maintenance
- Athletic Coaching
The benefits to volunteering include CPR and first aid training, youth development training and program and organization orientation. Boys & Girls Clubs has many opportunities throughout the year for you to get involved. All volunteers must pass a criminal records check prior to being assigned a service location. For more information about volunteering, contact your local Clubhouse or Jennifer Brown at (907) 770-7321.
